  • 1942

    Kabacak Flour Mill

    The story of business life of ABALIOĞLU Family began with tannery near Denizli at the beginning of 1900’s. The Family took the first step into industry with flour production at the beginning of 1940’s and in 1942, it started flour production with the daily output of 100 sacks by purchasing a flour mill from the company named Karabacak.

  • 1950-1951

    Cotton Ginnery Came into Operation

    The Cotton Ginnery came into operation in 1951 while the flour mill was working with the daily output of 400 sacks between the years 1950 and 1951. In 1963, fields of operation were divided between family members in accordance with the wills of family members.

    The First Step Which Changed Company’s Destiny

    Orhan ABALIOĞLU who met with Mehmet Turgut, Minister of Industry and Commerce in those years, negotiated with him concerning to which sector he should make investment to contribute to development national economy and to provide an increase on the rate of employment increase and after receiving the opinion of minister, Orhan ABALIOĞLU also visited Turgut Özal who was Undersecretary of State Planning Organization and told him that he is eager to make an industrial investment in Denizli. However, since State Planning Organization did not provide any support to a private enterprise at that time, Turgut Özal recommends Orhan ABALIOĞLU to negotiate with Necmettin Erbakan who was Secretary General of Turkish Union of Chambers. That guidance was the first step which changed the destiny of Orhan ABALIOĞLU and feed sector.

  • 1969

    The First Factory Started Production

    Even if, with his own words’ he did not know anything about this sector, Orhan ABALIOĞLU visited public institutions of that time to be able to enter to feed sector and he was terrified when he saw the datedness of plants. By considering the principle ‘‘If I do something, I shall do the best’’, he went to Germany and the factory in Denizli entered into service in 1969 with the cutting edge technology of that day.

  • 1992

    A Steady Growth Policy

    ABALIOĞLU pursued a steady growth policy. Hence, by establishing the company called AYTAR in 1992, he started to import feed raw material from many countries, especially USA, in order to meet the need of Turkish livestock sector for quality raw material and this company became one of the most important actors in this sector.

    Abalıoğlu In Food Sector

    Table egg production started in 1993 and breeding chick and egg production started in 1994 are maintained today with the cutting-edge technology and modernization applications.

    Entered Into Textile Sector

    After its ambitious entrance to food sector, ABALIOĞLU which aims to make a move to expand the company in different sectors started to produce thread from one hundred percent cotton at various numbers in 1996 by entering into textile sector and 80% of plant’s production were exported. However, in accordance with the strategic growth objectives of ABALIOĞLU in food and feed sector, the activities of textile plant were terminated in 2007.

  • 1998

    Kızılyer Breeding Farm

    Kızılyer Breeding Farm was established in 1998 and its activities were suspended in 2001 and finally in 2009, its activities were restarted. The farm consists of 1.815 animals and 33 paddocks. Its quarantine farm has a capacity of 300 animals. In total, the capacity of the ranch is 2.115 animals. Total area of the farm is 20.000 m2. Animals are housed into a barn through a semi-open system. With the fertilizer plant, its total capacity is 68.662 m2.

  • 2000

    The Second Feed Factory Started Production

    2000’s were the time when ABALIOĞLU accelerated its investments. In order to satisfy the demand growth in Marmara Region, the second feed factory started its activities in Biga District of Çanakkale Province in 2000.

    Headquarters of the Company is in Izmir

    In order to produce organic fertilizer and provide sustainable production in the agriculture, Organic Fertilizer Plant started its activities. As a result of efforts, all the affiliate companies were gathered under the same roof of ABALIOĞLU Yem – Soya ve Tekstil A.Ş and in 2004, headquarter of the company was moved to Izmir.

  • 2006

    Abalıoğlu Oil Factory

    In 2006, ABALIOĞLU Soya Bean Processing and Oil Plant started to operate in İzmir Çiğli Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone. With this plant, soybean meal and soya oil production have been started. However, at the end of 2014, in accordance with the demand of family members, ABALIOĞLU Oil left the group and currently it maintains its operations.

    The Third Feed Factory Opened in Polatlı, Ankara

    In accordance with its growth policy in the feed sector, ABALIOĞLU opened its third feed factory in order to provide service to Central Anatolia and other surrounding areas.

    Lezita Brand is Emerging

    Lezita brand, is the last step of the integration process of ABALIOĞLU. Lezita brand which emerged in the biggest and most cutting edge integrated meat plant located in Kemalpaşa District of İzmir in 2006 reveals the ambitions of the Group at the food sector.

    The Fourth Feed Factory Opened in Izmir

    ABALIOĞLU opened its 4th feed factory in Kemalpaşa, İzmir in 2009.

    The Fifth Feed Factory Opened in Mersin

    ABALIOĞLU opened its 5th feed factory in Mersin as one of the investments of ABALIOĞLU which aims to support regional production and service.

    ABALIOĞLU Enters Into Fish Sector

    ABALIOĞLU founded fish farms in İzmir, Karaburun in order to add fish to its product group in the food sector.

    The Most Cutting-Edge Fish Processing Plant Built in Urla

    ABALIOĞLU put its Fish Packaging and Processing Plant with of 14.000 tons of annual packaging capacity, 8.000 tons of annual processing capacity and 6.000 tons of annual frozen product processing capacity in Izmir, Urla in October 2012.

    The Sixth Feed Factory Opened in Bafra, Samsun

    ABALIOĞLU continued to bring in investment and service to each region of Turkey because of its responsibility as being the leader in the feed sector. In accordance with this objective, it opened its 6th factory in Bafra, Samsun in 2012.

    Egg Production Plant is Opened in Mersin

    ABALIOĞLU continued to its investments in the food sector with its egg production facility opened in Mersin with the capacity of 1 million eggs.

    The Seventh Feed Factory Opened in Manisa, Turgutlu

    ABALIOĞLU did not stop the growth of its feed group. 7th and 8th feed factories started their operations in Manisa in 2013.

    ABALIOĞLU is Everywhere

    İzmir Urla has a fish processing and packaging facility. ABALIOĞLU which raised its objectives and position in the feed sector with Mersin feed factory started operations in 2011 continued to contribute to the country economy by opening its 6th feed factory in Bafra. With 2 additional feed factories which were opened in Manisa in 2013, it succeeded to possess eight feed factories in total. Moreover, it has a fish processing and packaging plant in İzmir, Urla.

    Lezita Fish

    ABALIOĞLU, also made a name for itself with Lezita fish brand in the fish sector.

    As of the end of 2013, it increased its annual fish production capacity to 10.000 tons by raising its sights further with its investments in trout production farms in Muğla, Fethiye and Kayseri Pınarbaşı.
